Not only is the Expressway Route 64 service one of the fastest ways of travelling between Galway and Derry in Ireland, it's also one of the most convenient, with 10 services per day day in both directions.
Departing from Galway Bus Station, Expressway Route 64 bus service passes through the Ireland West Airport in Knock, Sligo Regional Hospital and Letterkenny en route, before arriving at the Ulsterbus Depot on Foyle Street in Derry.
Also, 1 service per day continues on to Magee Campus in Derry and returns from the same location.
En route to Derry from Galway, Expressway Route 64 stops at Ballyhaunis Roads (Northbound) and on Knock Main Street opposite Colemans with services running between 07:10 am and 22:20 pm.
Travelling in the opposite direction towards Derry, Route 64 will pick passengers up on the Ballyhaunis Roads (Southbound) and outside Colemans with services starting at 07.10 am. The last service departing Knock for Derry is at 22:20 pm.
Expressway Route 64 travelling to Galway picks passengers up at the Abbey Hotel in Donegal 9 times a day – from 08:42 am through to 22:07 pm.
For passengers in Donegal heading towards Galway, we also pick up at the Abbey Hotel. 11 services a day commence at 06:25 am and continue through to 23:00 pm.
The journey time from Galway to Derry is approximately 5 hours and 35 minutes.
